The 29th Annual Margarita Ball

Thank you for visiting the Orlando Margarita Society Website. The Directors of the Orlando Margarita Society reflect a cross-section of Central Florida's business & professional community. Our common bond is the simple desire to create a great party for our friends and foster a better Christmas for the less fortunate children.

The event itself is free to our selected guest, but each guest/couple is asked to bring at least one unwrapped toy for a boy & a girl. If you can do more, even better. After entering this Black tie affair, it's just one big party with over 3000 party goers enjoying free margaritas, wine & hors d'oeuvres throughout the evening. Live music and great people.

If you are offered and accept an invitation, your attendance is important and vital in that various charities are depending upon you to ultimately provide a loving gift of toys for children within our community. An unused invitation represents lost toys and an opportunity to make a difference in a child's life, especially during the current economic times.

Gifts do not have to be expensive, but should reflect the quality and value of the event. Game systems & toys that require parents to spend more money are not recommended. The recipients tend to be from low income or struggling households. If the toy/device requires batteries, we suggest you put them in or tape them to the packaging. As a child, you probably remember that feeling of getting a toy you could not use right away

The Orlando Margarita Society has also established a group rate with the hotel, Omni Champion'sGate of $149 plus tax & resort fee. Just call & mention the 29th Margarita Ball when making your reservation or  select "Hotel Accommodations" on the menu above.

Please Note: This is a Black Tie formal affair. Ladies are expected to wear evening wear that is tasteful and elegant. Gentlemen are expected to wear a tuxedo or dark business suit and tie. Formal Military dress is acceptable and even encouraged for active military personnel. This year we are strictly enforcing the dress code. No Tie.., No Ball.

Champion's Gate is pretty far, (i.e. on the other side of Disney) so please plan your time accordingly. To learn more about the Orlando Margarita Society and the Ball, please continue peruse our site, especially the FAQ section.

How you help

Each couple is requested to bring two unwrapped toys – one for a girl and one for a boy. The best received gifts are both toys that can be shared – athletic equipment, games, science kits, stuffed animals, dolls and toys that might mean something special to someone special.

Admission for each couple is by
DIRECTOR'S INVITATION ONLY,
(REQUIRED FOR ADMISSION)
and a contribution of Christmas toys.
